Wow was the range packed today!!! Any way, I wanted to compare shooting a 40 cal and a 9mm. Both guns shot great. I have to two hand the SD40 to keep it on target (Remington 180grain FMJ),but the trigger pull probably has a lot to do with that....that and the kick. The M&P 9mm was one handed all the way (124gr Fed HST JHP). The SD40 is my night stand gun AND I am thinking maybe a SW SD9VE might be better. $282. at Buds and I put it on layaway.

And how is that relative..... your statement should have been simply "I want one!!!"
Now if your wife reads the forum and that requires you to phrase it as a need.... then by all means go ahead. Otherwise we are a big bunch of enablers and we understand the want!
BTW my autocorrect is getting better.... it added the big in front of bunch on its own!

LOL, I am sitting here dry firing my SD40. I like the factory trigger pull, I find it to be smooth and with a crisp break. I think I would be better served with a 9mm on the bed side stand.

I quite agree! :smile: You won't be sorry that you bought one, when it comes off layaway.

I have the earlier SW9VE ( with trigger enhancements) and I like it alot. So much so, it's in my carry rotation.
I like the newer SD9VE's too, and may buy one someday.

I had the first gen sd40 and I hated it. I sold it and bought my sccy 9mm, then my lcp, then the glock 27, then my lcp 10th anniversary edition, then my shield 9mm, and I'm still looking. All she knows is I'm still trying to replace that gun I sold that one time. ��
