...in Walmart today. Sleeveless black t-shirt. Kind of tubby...and I kid you not a yellow Mohawk haircut. Not what I expected.

Lunatic Fringe?
Tea sipper? (for you out of staters, that's a University of Texas student or fan or whatever.)

You just described me... except I try to avoid Walmart, my black tshirt has sleeves, and I have brown receding hairline....

Least you got the tubby right.

You left out the most important part... what was he carrying?

Hey, at least he was exercising his right to carry. I would give him a friendly nod and move along.

Well, that guy'd better stay out of Rock Island, armed or not. Ever see the movie Deliverance? Heck, maybe that's why he was armed. He stopped at Rock Island.

Well...if you hear banjo music, then you probably didn't bring enough gun to begin with. :D

Just another brother in arms expressing himself. As AZM asked 'what was he packing'?

Seen a few open carriers in Cabela's but never in a WalMart.
Kansas enacted "constitutional carry" in July, 2015. As someone who has had a license to conceal carry for years, I will never forget the first couple of times I saw guys carrying openly, at Walmart, diners, etc. I understand the "right to keep and bear" and do not quarrel with it. Tactically, I prefer to conceal my weapon mainly because guns scare non-gun people. My rule is that if you see my gun, either something really bad has just happened, or is about to.

I prefer concealment also. I just as soon not let anyone see my weapon unless need be. Besides, if a bad guy does start something I would like to retain the element of surprise. Yes, open carry might dissuade a bad guy from starting something in the first place but it can also make non-2A folks freak out. In the hopes of preserving the social calm, I conceal.

If folks who are scared of guns for whatever reason saw honest people simply exercise their right on a daily basis.. maybe they'd stop believing that only cops and bad guys carry guns as the media would have them believe? Threads like these always make me scratch my head and wonder... if someone saw a nicely dressed, well spoken person shopping in Wal-Mart - would they go on the world wide web and post about it?

Hmmm?

On topic I've seen some really good examples of OC done right here in AZ, and... a couple of REALLY bad examples of CC... guess both camps have their goofs?

I don't have a dog in the fight as I'm a hybrid carrier. ;)

As long as you follow the law and don't endanger innocent people, I could care less if you ..OC, CC, Hybrid or NO C... only you know what works best for you and I respect your right to choose.

Yellow Mohawk and OC - someone crying for attention - says Mall Ninja to me, or maybe our next president. LOL

I've seen it once. I've done it a couple of times unintentionally.
