Funny there is other guns that have problems, just seems you can't convince others of that. Hope you get your Taurus back soon and all is well.

Well I got a M&P as a back-up for my 24/7 9mm that had to go back to Taurus. Still like the 24/7's grip and sights better. The M&P is easier to conceal which is a givin being a compact. The only problem in the first 200 rounds about 3 times the slide locked back with one round still in the magazine. Over on the M&P forum they say it works itself out once everything is broke in so we'll see. All in all it's a good little gun glad I made the purchase so far. For a compact accuracy is great and recoil is not a problem(better then Glock). But I really want my Taurus back.

I don't recall details but I think there's a rebate deal for M&Ps until the end of the year. I think it equates to free magazines. If you haven't heard about it you might want to poke around and see what you can find.

I HAD a M&P 40C up until a couple months ago. I put over 1500 rounds through it and the slide would lock rearward just as yours does. Needless to say I got rid of that one. I thought I was the only one with that problem cause everyone I told said I was nuts.
Steelheart your right it was mags or $50.or something I'll look back in gun mags see if I can find it.

This is true....however they thought I was nuts on the basis the M&P series pistols are flawless. Obviously no firearm is perfect---all level headed folks know that. But it did happen to me and friends of mine in LE refused to believe me. See gents that's why I get on my :soapbox: I would bet that you didn't get on the net and say they were a "POC". Sometimes if you search enough you can find a smater group of people. All things made by man and operated by man is going to fail.
