OOOO NOOOO!

It's got a flash-hider so no one can see you shoot, and a bayonet lug! That's SCARY!

It must be an ASSAULT RIFLE!

Just kidding -- very nice-looking. Congrats.
Nice! I really like those. Congrats!
Nice Carbine. Now we want to know the rest of the story! :)
I like it with the wood stock. My Ruger Mini 14 .223 is also a " Restricted Law Enforcement / Gov't Use Only 91494 " WO the selective fire option. Only mine has a black plastic stock,( very scary looking according to some ). I would like to find a replacement folding stock but all I have found have a screw in the side near the magwell like yours that mine doesn't have.

 Seriously though, Feinstein was recently talking about the differences between her 94 AW ban and the current one proposed, and one of the things she said was that instead of two criteria or characteristic an AW will only consist of one characteristic. So under the new AW ban this Mini 14 would be an assault weapon, due to the flash suppressor. The prevailing view among the anti gunners I've heard is it will only pass after November, when the Democrats allegedly regain the House and Senate. Whether Trump will sign it in 2019 is unknown.
