Oh Fudge ! TY Quiks Draw ! I got the unlucky ticket !
Ouch, that hurt.
Thanks for posting, holy cow!!!!thats lots of revolvers for Taurus/Rossi to try and fix. Hope folks out there get the notice, since many Rossi owners are not necessarily gun guys and won;t be exposed to the recall notice.
Interestingly, I got the notice of the safety recall via an email.

Not exactly sure how Rossi got my e-mail addy as I've never owned a Rossi Product.

My 461 is part of the safety recall - got an email from them this afternoon. Went to the website and registered the serial number. Now just waiting for the shipping instructions and label.

Oh well, not critical, still have my daily carry PT111 G2 and others in the rotation.
Not good news for Rossi/Taurus. I wonder if this impending issue was part of the reason for there not being any revolvers on Rossi's web site for a while now.

Same here, but my neighbor Lady had bought one a few years back, registered, but got no notice. Entered her SN and it's a recall. I filled out her paperwork for R351-2 today - Rossi says 6-8 weeks or so before they get the logistics worked out.

EDIT: Even more puzzled - they sent notice to me using two different email addy's - nether that I use on gun sites.
I sold off my Rossi 462 a few years back to a gun store for another Taurus pistol so will not get a e-mail.

I did so like the 462, but a 9 x19 pistol caught my eye.

I'm now registered and in line waiting further instructions. I have never even fired this pistol.
Just don't drop it. :D

Mine was bought in 1981. Guess I'm not affected. :D

Thanks again Quiks Draw; registered and waiting.....
I got an email notice but I have never bought a Taurus® (Braztech™) affiliated revolver. Both the wife's and mine are from the Interarms® era. Go figure...
Thanks for the Rossi PSA, Qwiks Draw. Most of mine are earlier than that, but I do have a 351 and a 352. I'll check the numbers on them.
I just checked my serial number.

I dodged a bullet, "sweetness" is not affected!

Just a warning: Be sure and plug your number into the website that Qwiks draw linked to. My two Braztech era Rossi's didn't start with the actual letters listed in the notice, but they were my second letters in my serial # prefix (they both have two letter prefixes) yet the website says I still have to send my guns in. Example: one of my number prefixes is "HW" but still has to be sent in (according to the website.)

Same here. Got mine today. I wonder how many other forum members received an email that have never owned a Rossi.

What if I don’t want to ? This really sucks ! Nothing wrong with my .357 mag . But i never go around dropping guns anyway and I don’t keep it loaded either . It’s just practice gun , not a EDC .

I imagine this is a part batch problem in the hammer block system. I'm glad I lucked out as I was dreading the idea of sending mine in for any reason...
I would like to know exactly what they fix or replace before i would send mine in if i ever decided to . I’ve never had a problem with mine and it still looks news when cleaned , not a scratch on it or any bluing worn off either .
