Well I won my first gun auction on Gun Trader, hope I did not over pay. With shipping $325.00, I have wanted a pump action .22lr for a while now. In my area I have not seen one for under $400 and they have been pretty beat up.

I blame it on Sekol ;), the picture of her new guns got me  again!

Ohhhh - that Rossi 62 is sooo cute!!! Is it a 20" barrel? Looks like 'cause the barrel extends a bit more past the tube than mine does! You are going to have soooo much FUN!! I think you got a true bargain - don't tell DH , but you did better than I did price wise! Let us know the minute you get it and then pictures, of course, and then the range report!! Congratulations!!!:)
Don't feel bad Sekol, there were considerably fewer of the shorter Gallery models made and they will bring at least $50 more.

I don't remember yours, but this one one appears to have the funky safety on top of the bolt if my magnifying glass was in focus.

The older models without the safety are also more in demand. I still have a yen for the .22 magnum which if my feeble brain still remembers correctly is the Model 73.

Oh, and I only paid $86 for mine, new in the box if you want to feel really bad....of course, that was for a blued gallery, not a stainless and that was in 1983!

Mine is the 16"barrell 'cause I'm short with short arms!Mine does have the funky safety-I'm not even sure it works—we've been having too much fun shooting it to pay much notice. Thanks for the input to the price, makes me feel a bit better!Once I get into work I''post a picture-please post a pictue to yours from '83!
Here's my new to me Taurus 62 AND my new Rossi 92 - just picked them up on Monday and took them to the range and they are comfortable, accurate, and fun!
We are trying to limit ourselves on ammo expenditure a bit due to not being able to get much right now, and that little pump sure does eat 22lr fast!

I can't wait to get mine, I have to mail payment so it will probably be a while before I get it. I pill post pictures when I do. I got a box of .22lr waiting for it, and I know my 11 year old will have a blast as well.

The Rossi 62 I have is at my oldest son's house in his safe as he has two young boys, so it may be a while before I get to take a photo. Later on, after Taurus bought Rossi long guns, the 62 was re-branded to Taurus. Today, with all of Rossi being bought out by Taurus, the Rossi name has been returned to the long gun and hand gun divisions.

Well, when spring comes and the squirrls return, that might be a good time to get out the ol' 62! It's cold and rainy, icey, dreary here today and I'm looking forward to spring!;)
Congratulations on your new acquistion! :thumb:

I'd love to have the SS model. I bought a blued M-62C (16" carbine) in 1985 and it's given this family 28 years of shear pleasure with nary a "burp" of any kind.:icon_ lala:

Congratulations on your new firearm.
Tomorrow my rifle will have been sitting in my FFL's safe for 1 week. :( Problem is he is working evenings at his primary job and work won’t let me get away in the morning to pick it up. Probably have to wait till Saturday now to pick it up. I hate waiting.

Did you get it? Did you shoot it? Let us know- the anticipation must be driving you crazy!! It's taking 3+ weeks in Maryland for handgun transfers to go thru and it's making me itchy!;)
