Bill Ruger, Jr. has died.

I trust my life and my family's life to one of his company's products, and will continue to do so. Thank you Mr. Ruger and Rest in Peace.

When old man Ruger died, Junior opened the company up to a more modern catalog, including the SR series, the LCR and LCP, as well as others. I think he kept Ruger on the map, and I hope his successor keeps the company moving in the right direction. Rest in peace Mr. Ruger Jr. !

I'm still a little salty that they supported the 10 round mag limit back during the AWB days.
I always thought the M77 was one of the best off the shelf rifles money could buy. But that has been my experience

That was his dad's position. Based on where his son took the company, I don't think his dad's political philosophy extended to the son. They came out with one of the finest piston AR-15s on the market. Originally derided as too heavy, it turns out it isn't quite as heavy as people complained about. It was a brilliant concept, as their other designs have been.

And although I don't own one, the Ruger 10/22 has proven to be one of the most reliable, versatile, and modded platforms in the .22LR rimfire world.

I own a number of Ruger firearms. There is always room in the safe for one more, I suppose! :D
