Howdy First post here. I joined having purchased a Rossi R98. Problem is, I purchased this revolver a month ago and still waiting for the transfer. Maryland State Police check is backed up big time. I think it was max two weeks, I was told it is now four to six weeks. Then have the NICS check :( I have a couple other revolvers, but wanted a 22 LR for inexpensive shooting and use it to teachwife and daughters with it. Anyway, glad to read your reports, sounds like I made a good choice! I'll post again when I get my new piece.:)
I've got a new to me 23 yr old 6"Taurus 66 waiting at our ffl until my paperwork gets back, too.At least the ffl is where we belong to the indoor range and they let us shoot our firearms while waiting for the transfers to come thru so I got to shoot my 66 again today - yippee!!! Transfers in my neck of Md where pretty much the standard 7 days up until right before Xmas, then it was 2 to 3 weeks, now who how long its taking! And to the new R98 owner -congrats to your new firearm and making it a family outing to to shooting! What great memories you're building!
