:???: I have a Browning Buckmark Pro .22 with the tru-glow front sight. I am a lousy shot with this gun, but it is fun to plink with. Am considering putting an holographic sight on an Weaver style assessory rail in place of the regular sights. To do so, I have to remove the top rail with the adjustable sight on it, and replace it with the assessory Weaver style rail. I forsee a possible problem though. The screws for the top rail are approx. 4 3/4 inches apart. When the gun has to be cleaned you have to remove them both to take the gun apart. So if the holographic sight is attached to the accessory rail, when I take the accessory rail off to clean the gun (the sight will still be attached to the rail), WILL I THEN LOSE MY ZEROING IN WHEN I REATTACH THE ACCESSORY RAIL TO THE GUN?
I have several other questions also.
1. Does anyone have the Buckmark? How do you like it?
2. Has anyone mounted an holographic sight onto an handgun? How has it worked for you & what sight are you using on it.
3. What is your opinon about an holographic vs. an red dot?
I haven't used either kind, but it appears to me that the holographic would be quicker to get on target with. Any and all thoughts would be appreciated. :???:
