I was glad that my new PT92 ran 200+ rounds threw it without any problems but when i got home to clean it i noticed a manufacture defect in the barrel that could have caused a situation if this was my carry gun. The hole drilled in the barrel for the roll pin that holds the larger solid pin that slides back and forth moving the locking block was off center. The hole was so high and off the the side that the roll pin doesn't even go into the hole and hold the locking block pin in. The locking block pin with the ramped end falls out freely allowing the locking block to come off also. Im not shure if this could happen when assembeled but im not to happy with it. Hopefully taurus will send me a new barrel,locking block,and pin combo in the mail without any questions.

To pay shipping and have to wait a week for it to get there and at best a another week for them to ship me a new barrel if they do it immediately would suck. Not nearly as bad as paying $40+ to ship the whole gun back and not have it for who knows how long. I am also concerned about the new barrel having a different serial # on it. Do you think they could make a barrel with the same serial # or with no numbers on it? Maby they could swap it out for a 917cs

I havent called them yet but i suspect they will want me to send in the old barrel first. I will try to borrow a digi cam this weekend but i need to get this barrel sent off because im sending in the new one for porting.
