Just an FYI in case anyone is trying to buy some Hi-Cap mags for the PT92/99.

Most of you may know about this already, but it may be a helpful notice for others, like myself, who were completely unaware.

Taurus has some mags remaining. They have sold out (on backorder) of the 17-round mags, but they have 19-round mags still in stock. The person I spoke with said that the 19rd are just as flush as the 17rd. I've never handled a 19rd before; so maybe someone else can give feedback there. The price is the retail $36 per mag plus a flat rate shipping fee of $8.75. Perhaps not the best deal, but given the current pricing and availability of 92/99 mags, I thought you guys may want to know.

If you call them, the part/order no is 5-11091-19 for the 19rd mags. [Edit: These are not listed on their website but were available when I called. Thanks Dairel.]

force

Edit: As noted by Rayneiac below, the 19rd has "an extended grip type effect." It is not the same length as the 17rd round, as I was initially told, FYI.

I had a Pt 92 AR and sold it the other day shots were all over the place for me any way I have a hi-cap mag for it and it holds 30 rounds it was a pain to load the mag but sure was fun to shoot off the 30 rounds.

NOTE FROM MODERATOR: CANNOT sell anything until the 25 posts is accomplished and and then the selling is in the Classified ad section that will show.

If "shots are all over the place", can't you return it to Taurus for repair?

Are the dimensions of a 10 round magazine the same as the 17 round? I'm looking for a mag pouch and finding conflicting information about Fobus. I'm looking for a pouch that will hold my 10 round mags for my PT92, and if it would hold the 8 round mags for my "new to me" PT1911.

Thanks in advance for any help.......

Someone else can confirm this, but I am pretty sure the 10rd and 17rd exterior dimensions are the same, since they both would be inserted into the same pistol grip area. The same should be true for the 15rd mags. Again, hopefully someone else can confirm this for you.

Confirmed. I just spent 35 minutes on hold with Taurus and they said the outside dimensions are the same.

Thanks force...........

I just bought some MECGAR 15 round mags from CDNN for right at $30 each. Taurus has always sold their mags at the $36 to $39 range.

And just for the record, 15, 17, and 19 round magazines are "standard capacity" mags. 10 round magazines are "limited capacity" mags. Anything higher than 19 rounds are "high capacity" mags. Let's not use the anti gunners language, and help them restrict our liberty.

I would call the 10 rounders "Reduced Capacity" Magazines.

Acquired some Mec-Gar AFC 20 round PT92 Magazines and like them quite alot. I would like to think of them as "Standard Capacity", but that probably won't fly.
Will post a Range Report after I take some pics of them
