PT92 30 or 32 round magazine question?

Has anyone ever used one? If so, what is your opinion on them?

To me, they seem a bit overkill and odd. I would rather have a couple 15 round magazines.

If it has ProMag in the name, avoid it like the plague. I'm happy my 92 came with two 17 rounders, but I won't lie and say I wouldn't mind a third one.

Mine came with a 15 and a 19 round. I wouldn't mind getting a few more factory ones either. I want enough magazines to shoot 100 rounds without having to stop and reload the magazines at the range.

Have two 30 rounders and have NEVER used them. Not sure who made them. Recently (Nov. 2012) bought 4 of the new Mec-Gar 20 round AFC PT92 magazines and those are great and I highly recommend them, if you can find them or afford them.

I have to agree with Montkun, the Pro-Mag can be hit and miss. I have two; one works fine and the other doesn't. A 50/50 chance ain't so great if your life is on the line.

I second this. I think I like the the Mec-Gar 20 rounders better than the factory mags in terms of quality.
They are not for me. I prefer flush fitting mags.
Two 17 and two 10 round mags are plenty for me for now. I doubt I would bother with a 30 rounder.
Magazine that extend below the grip can cause failures by pressing against things like your body, in the retention position, or against barricades. It was the extended magazine that enables the elderly woman to wrest the gun out of Gifford's attacker.

I have a thirty round Taurus OEM magazine from the 1990's. It's still in it's package. Great conversation piece, but I've never felt like I needed it.
