Great review and I couldn't agree with you more, the PT1911 is a joy to shoot all day long!
I think some of the problem you are seeing with shooting low and to the right is attributable to the Heine's, most people typically shoot low until they get the hang of them (I know I still do if I'm not paying attention).
Also, the low and to the right is usually caused by too tight a hold on the gun and bad trigger discipline. There's a webpage somewhere that has the bullseye with markings on it demonstrating what you are doing wrong, ie: low to the right= too tight a hold and not pulling straight back, I wish I could find the link but I can't.
It takes a while to get those reflexes/muscle memory trained, I still have to concentrate very hard not to "pull" the trigger and to lighten up the hold.
