I just came back from purchasing a PT1911! I decided to field strip it in order to get familiar with it as this is my first 1911. I broke it down with ease, but now that I'm trying to reassemble her, I have hit a snag. I have everything together except the barrel bushing. I can't get it twisted all the way. It is stuck halfway from being all the way on. Any ideas or tricks on how to get the barrel bushing all the way on? Another thing, the barrel bushing wrench seems kind of flimsy. I don't want to put too much force trying to get the barrel bushing on. Is there stronger aftermarket barrel bushing wrenches? Thanks!

Nevermind!!! The barrel bushing wasn't seated all the way to go into the fully locked position. ;D

I still want to know if there are any better barrell wrenches. Thanks.
