any of you with the pt1911's with alloy frames have a high rd. count through your pistols? if so is the feed ramp in the frame showing any signs of wear? as in needing a steel insert.

maybe 200 rounds here so far and had to look. Still polished and no nicks or scratches here.
Same here...about 225 rounds through mine and everything still looks pristine and new.

I am at around 1500-2000 rounds (lets see 50 rounds per box times 30-40 boxes?? yep!) anyway just as tight and pretty as the day i cleaned it the first time.
Big Skiff is north of 10,000 rounds in his and no reported problems.
seems a lot of you Pt1911 guys need to quit posting so much and get out there and do some shooting!-Griiin.

I think that what you need to stay away from if you have an aluminum frame is the Chip McCormick mags as the follower tends to travel forward and impact the feed ramp, it will ruin even a steel frame.
