Every gun has a preference. You might have a rough feed ramp the bullets are hanging on or some such. If you have trouble with one load, simple, try something else. Reason I suspect the feed ramp might be slowing the slide is that the RN profile puts a lot of lead on the ramp. A SWC only has a bit of lead at the flat that touchs the ramp most times and sometimes will feed better than a lead round nose for that reason, providing the OAL of the load is compatible with the gun. You could polish the feed ramp and maybe cure the problem, but changing loads seems the logical thing to do, find something it likes.
