Well, I took my shiny new PT145 (Gen 3) to the range today. I bought it yesterday, and was expecting to have the same experience as I did with my previous PT145 (Gen 2). Unfortunately, that was not the case. Every other round was ejecting the magazine. I was very thorough, making absolutely certain that my thumb/fingers/grip was NOT touching the mag release while firing. Also had several ride over feed jams, but I believe these were associated with the mag ejecting slightly, but being held roughly in place by my support hand grip, causing the feed lips of the mag to be slightly lower. Later, once I figured out what was happening, I trid a one handed grip, being sure to avoid the release. The mag shot out of the bottom of the pistol.

So, back to Taurus it goes. ::)

Actually, on closer inspection it appears to be a magazine problem. I paid the $20 insureance at Gander Mountain (cheaper than $50+ shipping). So, I took it to them to look at, one mag had a small dent near the catch hole. That was the one that was dropping out during firing. The second mag was much tighter fitting. The gunsmith test fired them and confirmed the bad mag, and also that the 'good' mag was locking the slide to the rear with one round remaining in the mag. It did it three times in a row. So.... back to Taurus it goes. Hopefully, it is a simple mag swap. I hope they will test fire it before they send it back.

Other than that - it's just a 3 or 4 week wait. :-\
