I am told that (1) the spring assembly will eventually break, (2) when it does the gun will not just mis-fire, but quit working.
I have ordered replacement assemblies, which are on back-order. I'm not without hope, in that I also ordered a recoil spring for my PT145 and it finally arrived last week.
The good news is that the assembly is about $1 each (so I ordered several). If these parts are in my stock of supplies, then I won't have to worry about sending a gun back to Taurus.
