I just went online to the Taurus site and looked at the new 2013 catalog. Some great stuff on there. I see a redesign of the Millenium pistols which look great, but it appears that the .45 is not included. Am I missing something, or has it been left out because it is too similar to the 24/7 G2 compact in .45? I guess that means that we now have collectors items?

EDIT: Iguess this has been covered in the news section of this forum

Yep, it appears so. Remember Taurus didn't make the PT145 some time after they introduced the PT111 and the PT140. I hope they will have the PT145 G2 later after the PT111 G2 and the PT140 G2 are available in the gun shops for some time.
I hope so too. I'm looking forward to the design of a G2 for the PT145.

I saw the PT111 at the shot show but not the PT140. I told a sales person that I wanted to see a 1911 5" barrel in .40 cal double stack, I don't think he took me seriously. :jiml:

Not sure I like the take down method designed into the new series, I really did not care for it on the PT-709. Just my opinion.

I had been looking for the past month for a PT145 or PT745 to no avail. Everywhere I was told they were no longer being made. Guess that was true enough. Finally settled on a Springfield XDs.

There are some available at www.galleryofguns.com - Gun Genie - Davidson's most popular and powerful search engine to find and buy guns at galleryofguns.com

I'm not sure about the 745's. I didn't check those.

ETA: A disclaimer: There were some listed when I typed in my zip code. YMMV.

Man I hate to hear that!! I love my little PT145 and would like others to enjoy it also...I don't know how they could make it better, but maybe they will....then I'll have to spend more money I don't have :)

My PT145 G3 was my duty gun the last 3 years I was a Parole Officer. Now that I'm retired its my daily CCW. I also practice with it about every 2 weeks at the range running a couple of 100 round drills. I hate that I'm not going to be able to replace it if and when I wear it out. BTW, how many rounds does it take to wear one out?

I bought a PT145 from Centerfireguns.com. I purchased it on Feb. 18th 2013. I checked the Taurus website with the serial # and it states it's production date as February 2013. So, yes, they are still producing them, they are just not in the 2013 catalog for some reason.
