PT140 - knew it wasn't perfect

Indeed. Doing "weak hand" drills for me has always solved the problem. For you, that is "strong hand", so it should be easier to overcome.

I'm a lefty and I hear ya. As other mentioned, practice drills (unloaded of course). Learn to flick the safety with the thumb while drawing out of the holster.

How are you using the safety with your thumb?
I think the reason I'm having the issue to begin with is because this is the first pistol I've owned with a safety. I'm a Sig person but couldn't afford one at the moment but wanted a .40.

I've owned more Ruger's and Glock's than Tauri in my many years of shooting but I'm not a Ruger/Glock guy. I love the Tauri because they're good bang for my buck.

I actually wouldn't use it if there was a decock on this model. I'm just not sure how sensitive these models are and I really don't want to carry a load/cocked gun around on my hip.

They are a great bang for the buck and that is why I didn't hesitate to purchase it. I worked at Academy for 6 years and sold many of them and people always liked them.

Yep, we will do it much faster after we do it the 1st time and know how/where things go.

I agree with you, I carry my PT145 with 1 in the chamber & safety ON. Lucky me, I'm right-handed.
