PT111 sent in for Enhanced Warranty... or whatever they decide.

Hi new here just sent my PT111 Mil Pro in for the recall last week. I see others talking about the Customer chat line for the customer service department how do you find the chat section. I know i am old but I have looked everywhere I can look but cannot locate the chat section. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The recall on Gen 1 Millenium pistols is still in progress.

I can't find any links to a chat section either. There is a Warranty Repair Status page. When I tried to check on my Gen 1 PT 24/7 that arrived in Miami on January 9, it replied with:

Invalid Serial or Zipcode Number
Please contact customer service 1800-327-3776 or try again


It is Taurus, after all, and it's only been there a week.:D It'll probably take them five or six months just to make a list of all the returned pistols. It's probably a huge pile.

Thanks for the responses. Yes your right on it being Taurus I got the same response from the repair status online. I am figuring that the pistol will be gone for a long time for repair / replacement but I have many others that I can utilize in the mean time. I feel for those sending in .40 or .45 cal that are getting a 9mm in replacement.

On the taurususa.com web site you will see a blue banner on the lower right hand of the screen says CHAT WITH US... It is on every page of the web site ,just click on the blue banner area that shows an arrow up ,looks like a roof of a house . Then it will expand the blue banner and you fill out the information . I just used it today and it worked . I did have a problem using it the last week or two, kept resetting. Be patient it takes a while sometimes ,even though it says be with you in 3 minutes. It only works during their business hours ,after that the banner will not expand .

I don't see it, but perhaps it doesn't work with Firefox on a Linux machine. What web browser are you running?
Update: So I received my standard form letter from Taurus today letting me know they have received my firearm and that the usual process should be about 6 weeks but as I stated earlier on a post I wont hold out too many hopes on anything happening that fast.

Firefox, i just tried it on private browser and it worked ,also tried it on 3 of my mobile android devices and it worked . That is strange it does not work for you . Maybe a Linux problem with cookies or certificate . Try a mobile device ,tablet ,phone . ON MY MOBILE DEVICES IT SHOWS UP as a circle not a banner ,on the lower right hand side . On my tablet i had to click on the words on the right side in ORANGE that shows phone number and the words chat with us . Hope this helps .
