Millenium Pro 3rd Generation. Light cleaning and rail lube and then to the range. First 214 rounds - mixed ball and hollow point, 20 25 failures to fire.

Light dimpled primer. I put the dimpled rounds in my CZ -P01 and they fired every time, without fail.

I like the size of the PT111 - but as it looks now, this 1 day old gun will not be the carry gun I hoped it would be.

Well, it sounds like this one needs to go back to Taurus for a fix. I expect the wait could be a few weeks, but when you get it back it should be good as new (actually, better in this instance).

Keep us posted.

This may sound off base, but if the gun has that many rounds through it then it probably needs to cleaned. This includes the firing pin channel. Smaller pistols of any kind have tighter tolerances or are known to choke if not kept scrupulously clean after as little as 100 rounds.

If that all has been done then a trip back may be in order.

You need to flush the firing pin channel. These guns come loaded with packing grease and the firing pin channel usually has a ton of it.
