The stock rear sight, at least on my PT-99, was very flimsy. It busted loose during a defensive pistol course after only about 2000 rounds through the gun. In the end, I had night sights installed by Tooltech Gunsight, but the sights should never have failed so soon.

I just had the same thing happen to me. I just put in a sprinco rod and took it to the range to try it out. Hitting perfect tight groups and then next thing you know the frame that held the target fell down so I must have hit it. Was kinda surprised and I moved over to the next lane and noticed that all my shots were shooting high.

After examining the gun I noticed that the sights got loose and were very high causing me to shoot high. Only place I have found that can do the sights is Tooltech but for the price I rather buy another gun than fix the sights.
