One of the nice things I am learning about my new to me PT99 is how predictable the double action break is. I can easily pull back to single action distance and hold there until I wish to fire. So nice. The trigger provides enough feedback in double action to know exactly where the break is with very little practice. And the single action break is so clean. I bought the gun and used it for my very first practical pistol shoot the next day. The gun is that easy to learn.

My drill is to load a full magazine then chamber a round and decock the gun. Then shoot one shot DA, then one shot SA, then decock. Repeat till the magazine is empty. I recently purchased a PT92. It is my very first 9mm and I've been a gun nut for over 50 years! I think we've both made good choices.

I think you both have made good choices

Another good choice would be to get a 12lb hammer spring for a Berreta M9

The trigger on my PT 99 was so hard to pull that it messed with my aim. If yours is that way, trim off 1 & 1/2 turns of the spring and it be fine.
