i've heard of this happening with both bretta and taurus 92's

my beretta locks up nice and tight but my taurus has had some wiggle room from NIB.

how loose is it? and is it effecting accuracy?

also push with your thumb on the back of the slide while trying to wiggle the barrel with your other hand and see if it does'nt make it tighter.

im guessing your 92 is probably fine unless it's loose enough to rattle in the slide.

you should'nt carry a gun on half cock, the barrel might wiggle a little bit but it should not be excessive since excessive is subjective description you'll have to judge for your self but a little movement is ok however if it flops around on it's own it's to much.
