For anyone wanting an aluminum frame PT1911 there is one on gunbroker with 20 hrs left.Comes with 4 mags.A good get for somebody.No bids thus far and starting price $450.It has run through several auctions with no bids.I thought about getting a second one (I have two hands)but just don't need it and have other demands on my money right now.

Just remember this Is a DISCONTINUED Taurus, and for a few years now so it may NOT have any factory warranty and likely no or very little support form them for repairs.
likely best case scenario if you have a problem is to swap it out for you to another current model.
might want to check into this.

While it is a discontinued model it will still have the lifetime warranty. The catch being that should there be a issue with the frame there may or may not be a replacement available. In which case I would imagine Taurus would offer to replace the frame with that of a OEM standard PT1911.

Contact the seller and tell them what you are willing to pay. Maybe they'll accept, maybe not. No harm in asking.

IF that is the case and as where all the parts other than the aluminum frame are the same as a steel PT1911, then I would imagine they would just swap out the entire AL for a B model?
