So what does everyone think about the new 1911 9mm? One of the problems I have heard several times with the 45 is jamming from lack of ejection, do you think this will change with the smaller caliber?

I probably won't get the Taurus in 9mm only due to price, RIA has one I can get for a couple hundred cheaper around here and since it will just be a range toy... I really don't need the extras you get in the PT-1911...plus it means more $ for ammo! I have never had an issue with the PT-1911's not ejecting. The only issues I have had were your standard 1911 mag issues which I was able to iron out. In my opinion, if the 9mm is anything like the .45 It should prove to be a great shooter!

So are we saying that Taurus has finally released the PT1911 in 9mm?
Personally i have no need for the 1911 in 9mm but am sure many may want one.
as to the failure to eject??

this is in I would guess around 12,000 rounds or so.
Not exactly what i would call a ejection problem as most of these were range ammo in 230FMJ.
I would say if you are having an ejection problem on new ammo that a Gunsmith visit may be in order.

Most ejection problems can be ironed out by tweaking the extractor.

Yep, that was the problem with one of my PT-1911s, the extractor was too loose.
