PT-145 Pro DA

Does anyone know if it is possible to load a round into the chamber and have it DA instead of SA? Just thinking it would be safer to carry that way! :D May be a stupid question but figured I would ask.

I know of no safe way to do this. Just use the safety. It's safe to carry. These guns were designed to be carried this way. I've carried mine almost every day for almost a year and have never had an issue. I don't sit behind a desk either, lots of motion, bending etc.

No such thing as a stupid question here. :thumb:
Thanks! I didn't figure it was possible but if it was figured someone might know. It would be nice so the pin is not "cocked". Would make me feel better anyway. Can't stand revolvers or I would just use it.
Congrats... I believe I just resolved the issue with my magazines falling out of the grip when firing. I am looking forward to taking My PT145 back to the range to see if all is well. I am 99% sure I fixed the problem. I also have this PT145 as my primary CCW. I also have a Bersa 380 which I love and use depending on what I am wearing. But .45 ACP firepower is great to have at my beconing.

Just look at it this way! These PT Pro's are SA/DA, not the reverse.
If you get the dud round, it reverts to DA, but I know the safety is there for us to use, and locked and loaded is the best. I have the PT and revolver, but am undecided as which will be my main carry at this point.
