I love my PT-145 and it has prompted 2 friends to get one for concealed carry. Problem is, we can't find one. I've been told the suppliers can't get them either. Anybody know what's going on?

Well just a quick check shows them available from http://www.galleryofguns.com/ both current models Blue and Stainless. http://www.budsgunshop.com/ has numerous models of the pt145. I am sure other gun sites have them so if not available locally, take a look. Prices seem to vary a bit between the two sites I listed.

I bought mine a couple weeks ago from Sportsman's Warehouse, don't know if you have any by you. I got it on their storewide 10% off sale, which means 5% off firearms. So that got it down to about $305.

Agree on the GalleryOfGuns thing. I'd suggest seeing who the dealers are in your area (go through the search as though going to buy one until you get a list of who sells them in your area and what the total price would be), print out that page, and bring it in to your chosen store on the list. Let them order directly from Davidson's and see if they'll beat the quoted price (they get it cheaper on their own, I believe).

If they still don't want to order for you, just order through Galleryofguns. It shows up within a couple days and everything is all prearranged for payment and everything. It goes very smoothly!

I bought my 2 taurus guns through Buds. Smooth transaction and quick shipping. Most prices include shipping so you just have to pay an ffl to transfer the gun into your name. The gun shop that I go through charges $25.

I have used both Davidson's and Buds, with good results. Of course Buds is only about 60 miles from me, so I drove down an picked it up. Actually the one from Davidson's took less time to get, but both were good, and davidson's service on problems was the same, overnight, or within a couple days when the holidays were close.
