Hey all. Has anyone tried using the Williams Fire sight for the rear sight only and keep the front sight from the factory? I don't want to use the Williams front sight because it is going to stick up too high for my holster. I really don't care too much for the factory rear sights and the Williams seem to be the most cost effective replacement sights. I really want a standard 3 dot sight setup for standardization of all my guns. My gun is a Gen 3 built in 2010 with the dovetail sights.

I tried it both ways when I had my PT145 and the stock front sight was too low with the WFS rear site for me.

I have Williams Firesights on both my pt111 and the 24/7 C. The MilPro shoots a little low, the other a little better. They are helpful in low light conditions and brilliant in sunlight. I like the front sight and would rather not do without that help.
Others advise better than I.
