Hi everyone, I was wondering if any of you have had any problems with shooting Cor-Bon ammo in your PT 145? I had three boxes of 50 and my pistol did not like it at all. I kept getting all kinds of feeding problems and would have to lock the slide and release the mag. I would reseat the rounds in the mag and would still have problems. Could the fact that they were 165gr have any thing to do with this problem? I have run Winchester Ranger, American Eagle (Federal), and Remington with little or no problems. Also, today while cleaning the pistol I noticed a small bur on the feed ramp. It is really polished around the bur but you can feel it if you run your fingernail over it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

How odd...Corbon DPX is my carry ammo for my 2nd generation PT145...only in the 160 grain non plus P type.

http://www.hipowersandhandguns.com/Corbon 160 gr DPX.htm

It feeds flawlessly and I think that the Barnes Bullet was made in heaven for these short barrel autos.

Hmmm...maybe every Taurus Auto digests ammo differently. The only thing my auto does not like is the heavy primer White box Winchester. The primer is so hard that I get continual light strikes.

Cor-Bon DPX functions perfectly in my PT-145...it's the regular JHP's that my Mil Pro has issues with.

When one says they have a problem with Corbon ammo the next question is which of the half dozen or more variants are we talking about. LOL

Seems like one of their product line will work in what ever brand, make, or model is in question. Just have to sort it out as to which it is.

No problem. I was just having fun with the fact Corbon makes so many defense loads. Trying to keep them all memorized is a career. LOL
Powerball and the regular JHP conventional loads have the 165 gr. loading.

DPX is in at 160 grains.

I was at the range on Thursday, and I was shooting CorBon 230gr JHP +P rounds out of my PT145 and Glock 21sf.
Ran 20 through each without any problems. My PT145 has about 1100rounds through it now.
One thing though.. It kicks like a MULE with that ammo. I'll have to try 185gr variants, as doubletaps were impossible accurately at 7yards and farther.
