Most safeties have to be filled to fit. That particular safety may not have enough meat on it in the first place. If it really bothers you, I'd shop around a little more.

Oh yeah .... :judge:

I don't think there's much you can do with the current safety. As I explained earlier safeties usually require filing to make them fit.

There could be several answers to your safety problem. Is the plunger damaged? Is the plunger tube aligned? Is the plunger spring OK? Is the sear too short? Are the plunger rods of the correct length for the safety? You may want to check the length of the safety compaired to the factory original. Measure from the pin that enters the frame to where it makes contact with the plunger rod. These are just a few of the possiblilties. Let us know how this works out.
