It certainly was not an accidental shooting so I think assasination is a good word choice.

Murder is personal, assassination is political or religious. This was probably murder. Assassinations usually involve a famous/important person so anytime one of those gets killed and the motive is not obvious the media tends to pull out the "assassination" word.

Maybe a person who paid for the hit thought that ole HW made some kind of a deathbed confession. :cool:

But I suppose that there could be some other interested party in the Doc's demise. It certainly does not smack of a random killing.

So then all the people who died in the towers on 9/11 were not murdered, they were assassinated? I don't think I've ever heard anyone charged with first-degree assassination... I wonder just how famous you have to be to be assassinated instead of murdered.
