Bangor Punta had a financial interest in both S&W and Taurus and they shared designs and Amadeo Rossi also made similar models, before being bought by Taurus. This began around 1970, but Forjas Taurus was making revolvers in 1941. They also used a combination of different manufacturers designs. All I know is that the Model 94 I owned was as just as accurate as my later Model 63, both having occasional rimfire misfires. My half-brother has a model 84 his dad bought in 1969. He did a bunch of research on the early revolvers. Some I remember, some not.
