In the mid thru late '60s, there was a relatively little known British band named The Gods...not to be confused with the US '70s band The Godz. I don't know how big they were in the UK but The Gods received little to no exposure in the US. I first came upon this band while digging into the history of Uriah Heep. Three of the original members were Mick Taylor, later a guitarist for the Stones, John Glascock, who later played bass for Jethro Tull and Ken Hensley, later on guitar/keyboards for Uriah Heep. Lee Kerslake, future drummer for Uriah Heep later joined and even Greg Lake played with them for about a year.
Stumbled across this Irishman who I never heard of. Gary Moore. Shame, he passed back in 2011. Well known in Europe and England but not so much here. Fell in love with this power ballad, and his guitar. ..... A two song video with a forced commercial between. (dang ad might cut off end of first song) Second song is so so. You won't miss much IMO.
