i own a PT 140 pro and i enjoy the gun. its no target gun, bit of a long trigger but it is a smooth one, the gun is very light i think like 20oz unloaded, very compact it will literly fit in the palm of your hand, and also a very good weapon for the price, you really can't beat the quality of this weapon for the price.

i appreciate the response, ive visited the gun a few times via bass pro, but was holding out for the gun show this weekend which ill be going to in a few hours to see if i can get a better deal....the bass pro salesmen was a bit of a dick about me asking to see the taurus, so there went his commision i suppose, i love the feel and the weight...i guess if the thing shoots straight all is well
Don't we all love the guy who tries to steer you to a better commission gun. I look old and broke when I go in a gun shop. Ratty shoes, with horse manure on them, flannel shirt, hanging out, with Baggy pants and an old baseball cap from the Kentucky Derby. Heck they do not even want to talk to me. It cost at least two guys a sale, when I went away, and ordered the gun, ONline.

Oh and back on topic, I love the pro series. Problem I have seen and hear about were mostly minor. I stuck with the 9mm, as I already had a 45 colt, and now a 357 revolver. Good luck at the show.
You mention the gun show and Bass Pro - are you from Texas, say the DFW area? There is a gun show in Ft. Worth (pronounced Foat Woath to you yankees) that sadly I won't be able to attend, and there is a Bass Pro in Grapevine......just curious.

Welcome to our forum.
im over in ft lauderdale.

i get the same response at stores as well..sometimes im bummy lookin...dont feel like dressing up to go to the store....

Robby, I thought that was how you looked when you got cleaned up. :D

And back to the topic again.
Look for a 3rd generation. It will say 'Millennium' on the left side of the slide, and 'PT145 PRO'
on the right side. See if the guy will field strip it for you so you can check out the wear.
I think there's also a post here somewhere where guys were listing the prices they paid for some of the
Mill Pros. Would give you a little info. Also, as I think Robby said once, prices tend to be a little more negotiable the last day and hours of a show. Maybe do some sniffing around early and buying later.

that is cleaned up! If I have shaved I am ready to buy!

The only guns shows close here seem to be in OHIO, which means I can buy, but it has to be shipped to FFL in KY. So I do not go to them. But Mama, does not want anymore guns in the house right now. "I will just keep them in the Barn".
I am the proud new owner of a pt145 got it for under 400 after tax super happy can't wait to go to the range
Congrats on your purchase, I don't think you'll be disappointed.....

nice i paid 335 for my pt 140
have there been any issues with running hollow points through the .45's?
At the show in West Palm Beach they had the Mil Pros PT 111 and PT 145 for $319 NIB and the PT 140 was $329. I ended up with the PT 24/7 Pro C for $359 as I liked the feel of it a little more than the Mil Pro. My Brother was looking hard at the Mil Pros at the show as well but had to leave the show early.
i was so intent on finding the gun at the show, that i might go back today to look at everything that i missed
barryrod, are you opting for the PT145, since you'll have a mag capacity limit of 10? I was just curious....

No...I was looking at them and the PT111s as was my brother, but I bought the PT 24/7 Pro C 9mm as it just felt better in my hand. The 24/7 comes with 2 mags, a 13rd mag and a 17rd mag with a grip extension. I was looking for CC and the Mil Pro would be a bit smaller, but the 24/7 felt so good.

There is often a break-in period, though not for everyone, where there are feeding issues. My PT145 feeds Gold Dot HP's well. I do recommend that you use 185 grain or lighter bullets for HP. There is evidence that when fired from a short barrel auto like the PT145's, 185 gr. bullets expand better than heavier loads.

There's info somewhere on this board relating to this...

Congrats on your purchase and enjoy. Stay safe.
