Poly Case ammo

Any one carrying this stuff. I kind of forgot about it until I ran into a Lawyer friend of mine today. He seemed pretty happy with carrying it and asked me if I have tried it. So anyone here using it or shoot it in the past? What is your opinion on it if you have shot it.

Don't really know anything about it. But, I'm tuned in here waiting to learn.
Got it, like it, carry it.

I have a box of Polycase ARX Inceptor .380 ACP ammo, but I've yet to actually fire it or load it into a magazine.

I like what I've read/seen in regards to its terminal performance in Ballistics Gel, but don't feel comfortable using it as carry ammo just yet, especially when XTPs have already proven reliable. The way I see it is, if these new wonder bullets such as the Polycase/Ruger ARX and Lehigh Defense Xtreme Penetrator line are all that they appear to be, then they will most likely be adopted by the Military (seeing as they don't violate the Hague Conventions treaties) and/or Law Enforcement around the world in no time.

I have the Ruger ARX which is polycase ARX ammo loaded in my wife's bersa 380. the second mag is loaded with XTP handloads. my 709 I run with 147gr HSTs and XTPs in the second mag
Is it reloadable? If not, it ends right there with me.

They do make the bullets available for reloading. I may look into a box or two to mess around with. Looks like they have some load data on their site as well.

I carry what the local cops carry - Hydra Shock Gold Dot or Critical Defense, but mostly Hydra Shok. Don't want some hot shot persecutor to tell a jury that I was a hot dog with "special" ammo just looking for an excuse to use it. Might be a little on the paranoid side, but hey, there IS someone out to get me. That's not paranoid - it's realistic.

Here they mostly carry HST. Hydro-Shock is so "yester-year"...:D

I've watched quite a few video's on this stuff - I think that the jury is still out...this one is a pretty good comparison video.

I tried the Ruger ARX Polycase in .38 special. The problem was that it shot way below POA for me.
Now I like to shoot my EDC often and want my practice ammo to match my carry ammo very closely in POA. If it does not it gets ruled out. Which is too bad because the recoil was mild. Plus, according to the tests I've seen it has very good penetration.

Well here, the cops carry what ever ammo that the Chief said was cheapest and meet the requirements and signed a contract for.
then next contract period they will do it all over again.
also every carry round isn't expended at the exact time a new contract and shipment comes in so there may be more than one type of carry ammo in the magazines and pouches depending on the time of the year .
Not to mention we have a local city police, a county police, a county sheriff and State Patrol all in the area most of the time.
