I have a post in other handguns about carrying my Bond Arms derringer in a pocket holster and yesterday was my first day doing it and it went great. My wife had bought me some shorts for summer while out yesterday, they have cargo pockets and it got me thinking. While I love the Bond, it would be great if I could pocket carry the G3c I own. I have tried to check the G3c in my regular pants pocket and it's a no go with the grip causing problems but it drops right in the cargo pockets. But I will only carry in a pocket holster and not just my gun loose in the pocket. Does anyone pocket carry your G3c?, and what do y'all use if you do? I was thinking it would be more compfortable that iwb or owb and I would also use the Bond as a pocket carry in the other pocket as backup. The holster I got to pocket carry the Bond, the Black Scorpion Gear W2 is too small for the G3c. Thanks for any help.

I attempted it once with my G2C using a Sticky Holster that I already owned. The biggest issue for me was the weight. A G2C with 12+1 Sig V-Crown Elite in the holster weighs a tad over 30 ounces. That's close enough to two pounds to consider it two pounds.

I have this one from J&J Leather:

It's good, especially for $35.

It definitely is on the edge for pocket carry. This does fit in the right front pocket of my Duluth Trading firehose pants and cargo shorts, but barely.

I primarily pocket carry, and I'll tell anyone who listens, 95% of pocket carrying is having the right holster that holds the firearm properly in the pocket. I've found that most pocket holsters made specifically for a firearm work well, while generic holsters that fit a variety of shapes and sizes don't, at least for autos of a certain size.

Thanks, yes I have already tried regular front pocket pants and that is a no go. But these shorts I have they have cargo pockets that the G3c will fit in and the flap close over the top. As long as I have a belt, shorts or pants I will iwb the G3c but my wife bought me cargo shorts and a few pants that are string tie, the pants don't have cargo pockets so I will pocket carry the Bond in them but the shorts do and when I can I want more rounds on me if possible.

I pocket carry a G2C, which is the same size as a G3C. Unfortunately I can't be of any help in finding a commercially made pocket holster. My wife ended up making mine. She took a formed leather holster and sewed a rectangular piece of leather to the bottom of it. The rectangular piece of leather does 2 things, keeps the holster from shifting around in a pocket, and also keeps the outline of the pistol from showing through the pocket.

Probably the best commercial option is what 357funtime mentioned.
