Teacher Shirley Katz has lost her bid to carry her firearm to school. The Medford Oregon judge ignored state law and the state constitution in his ruling, saying that school policy trumps law.

The case will be appealed.

With the increase in public shootings, and schools being common targets, I have said for awhile that having a few teachers trained to handle firearms wouldn't be a bad idea. I hope the appeal goes well.
