A while back I got a chance to shoot a 4" 44 Tracker. It was the first 44 mag that fit my hand. With standard 240gr magnum loads it was no problem, maybe as harsh as a medium frame 357. All the recoil came straight back, muzzle flip was minimal.
If you're thinking defensive gun for hogs I would lean towards the 4" tube but for a primary the 6.5" should be fine. From what I've seen on prices that looks good.

Whenever I end up getting myself another 44 its a toss up between a 44 Tracker and a 4" M44. Its been a while since I handled a M44 so...
