I've been looking around the forum for the answer to my question. Does anyone know what style of frame an old model 66 uses. I understand that older Taurus' were modeled after S&W revolvers. I was wondering if ths is true and if so what frame type it models after. I would like to use a Caldwell Hammr machine rest to test loads and would prefer to use a grip inserts that is already made instead of using the universal kit.
Can anyone help?

I'd say to try the K and L frame inserts. Which one I'm not sure. But have the Universal kit available to back them up. Sorry that I can't be more help but I've never used a machine rest.

Let us know how it goes off the rest, should be interesting.

Likely K frame inserts, square butt, will work.
