Taurus did it better with the JUDGE in my opinion!!! And at better than 1/2 the price.

I just saw a Judge in a gun shop yesterday. It was black with a silver cylinder.

Are silver cylinders better than black ones?

I have a 100% satin stainless, have seen the all blue, and the ultralite. But I have never seen the black with silver cylinder.

Was it the new version that takes the 3" 410 shells?????

Before you accuse someone of copying a Taurus idea, check out the people Taurus copied the idea from.

Well, I did not say Taurus copied anyone, but I did say for the price I thought they did it better. IMO, only!!

Thunder Five $ 545.00 + $15 S/H :judge:
BFR45LC/410 MSRP 899.00

I got my Judge for about $100 less, and I like the looks of it better than the Thunder Five, which I had seen before, while I was looking for holsters. :deadhorse:

The Thunder 5 was the first 45/410 pistol in the world?

I don't know it was the first, but it was the first one I ever saw about two years ago. I think they've been around longer than that. One of the guys at my job bought one a few years back and raved about it.
There's no doubt that taurus took it to a new level and made it much more refined. Also it's true that taurus popularized the concept, hence the others wanting to get a piece of that market!

I have agree, that Magnum Research has built one heck of a revolver in the 45/410 category, but gee over a lb heavier, and twice as expensive MSRP. Of the ones I have seen, if I had lots of money it would be the one I probably would buy. But I am old and cheap, and for the $'s The JUDGE in any of the 5 or 6 versions now available is the best, BANG for the buck.
Thunder Five while only a bit more expensive than The JUDGE for some reason just does not appeal to me personally. Both the others are probably outstanding for what they are.
