So Taurus said that they are replacing "5/10 pistols a day" during the Feb Court hearing, correct?

But here on the "report your return" thread we have ONE pistol return this month.

My pistol has been there since Oct 16th.

Unacceptable!

Sent in Taurus PT-145 back in October as part of lawsuit, it was received by Taurus on 10/12/17. Received a call regarding the replacement on 2/13/18 to confirm FFL mailing and was told it would take 3-4 weeks for replacement to be shipped out. Called customer service, waited the normal 1 hour hold time and was informed it was sent via fed ex on 3/15/18. It’s scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

My deepest sympathies for ALL of those people who bought a Taurus firearm affected by this settlement.

The way that Taurus has handled this whole settlement issue has been nothing but a shining example of how not to handle a situation. The 5 to 10 pistols a day when you have nearly 9000 units to process, the ever present delay after delay, and the attitude from Taurus just makes one want to throw their hands up and yell, "I'm done with Taurus". All you have to do is read the following linked thread to know just how Taurus feels about those customers affected by this settlement:

http://www.taurusarmed.net/forums/t...us-conference-tuesday-february-13-2018-a.html

Read post #1 thoroughly, especially the Taurus parts. I also have two posts in this thread, but the first one (post #10) is the one that really breaks out the math involved. This post will really scare you into how little Taurus seems to care about this settlement being taken care of.

Again, my deepest sympathies to those of you who are part of this settlement, and still waiting.

It’s been an experience, one I hope to never go through again

All I have to say about it is for anyone unhappy with the speed at what Taurus is replacing guns I suggest you write the Judge with your concerns. Be polite and professional. There is another status conference coming up and I am sure the Judge will address the concerns if enough people write her. After attending the last status conference it was rather obvious that the attorneys that started the class action were only in it for the payout. They did not have the end users (us) in mind at all or most of this would have been addressed. I will remember this in case I am ever involved in a similar class action with this kind of impact to me and will be more involved if possible.

Taurus Replacements being shipped

Just got done chatting with the infamous Fran on their chat link on the website. asked about the amount of weapons being shipped and stated i had heard 5-10 she stated no. she then stated they are shipping large amounts of pistols every day. i inquired as to whether or not my pistol had been shipped yet and the answer was they are shipping the pistols in the order they were recieved. they have had my pistol since dec 5th of 17 and i was told the pistol didnt pass inspection and would be replaced a month ago. the only option i was given for replacement was a black over brown PT111 G2 in 9mm i sent in a PT140 pro.i was told the same day that i would receive it in 3-4 weeks it has supposedly been in the shipping dept for a month today. still trying to understand why a pistol would be sitting in shipping for a month with no movement.

It is still sitting in the shipping department waiting for those that do 5 to 10 inspections per day to move to the shipping department to send out the replacements. Problem is the shipping area is only open on odd days that start with T..... JK It is very frustrating to all that have a pistol in for repair / replacement and more frustrating for those that originally owned the PT140 or PT145 or other iterations as 24/7 models that will receive the PT111 as replacements. Ihave other pistols that have been sent back for repairs but have never seen customer service this bad on any product.

. Mine went in at the very beginning of the claim period and up to last month they still said it was never inspected yet. I guarantee the "large" # of pistols being shipped out are not class action pistols but rather all pistols.

sad part is i asked if i would get a notification when the firearm was shipped and they said we dont do that. odd every other company i dealt with sends a shipping notification.
Not only that, but your LGS won't know who to contact either, as Taurus does not supply a customer name with the shipment.

My FFL received 3 shipments directly from Taurus at different times and all 3 had paperwork with them with my name on it. Guess I have been lucky.
