Since you are new to handgun ownership, I recommend that you read the forum guidelines, check out our FAQ section, and read up on the information found in the sticky topics at the top of each section’s page; where you will find a wealth of information which will give you a jump-start as a new member.
Check in each day, for you will always find new and interesting posts to read and participate in.
You can find answers to many of your questions in the various forum archives or simply asking questions on here. The only stupid question is the one a person don't ask. You may want to find somebody with experience with firearms in your area or join a club where you can find a mentor to get you started on the right track with personal hands on shooting. Personally I believe there is nothing better than having someone beside you to assist in the proper firearms handling when you are just beginning to shoot, it can save you having to UNLEARN bad habits.
We have all had to start learning at one time and learning safely will reward you with many years of enjoyable shooting.
