Went 40 miles North to a small gun show this afternoon. Wasn't really looking for anything but I did happen on a 1924 S&W Regulation Police in 32 Long. Nothing extraordinary, just rally quite nice for being 94 years old and I do so love 32 caliber revolvers. All numbers match, even the grips and she retains original finish. Beautiful bore and chambers. The lighting is not good. The blue is very good, not washed out like the middle pic shows.

Yes they did!
I saw your post in the S&W forums before I saw it here, so I got to drool on my keyboard twice!

I have a S&W Hand Ejector "Model of 1903" 5th change that dates to 1916/1917 by S#. Pretty much the same revolver, but mine has the smaller round butt grip with gutta percha grip panels. Yours is in much nicer condition than mine. The .32 S&W Long is one of my favorite revolver cartridges.

Really nice. S&W really puts a nice finish on their guns. Amazing how long it lasts.
I look at that, I think of my '48 Detective Special, and I wonder.... what were people's hands shaped like back then?

That really looks like it's in great condition; nice find!
Congrats on finding that classic and beautiful revolver!
Congrats... Love the old Smith revolvers.
