Hey guys, this is my first post and as of today, I am the proud owner of a 740ss slim! I will start the cleaning and break in process tomorrow. I came to the conclusion from you guys and the post saying Academy having it on clearance. I went by and sure enough, it was on clearance and they had 3 left. So I ran and picked one up. Now I just need to work on getting a CCL.

Welcome from SoFla; I also just added a 740 Slim to the stable, although mine was in blue. Shot about 30 rounds through it last weekend and it was flawless and pretty accurate for it's size. You'll be very happy with it.
