I picked up a NIB PT 24/7 Pro in 9mm yesterday. I don't think I've ever felt a gun feel better in my hand, the grip and the balance are nothing short of perfection (for me anyways).

I had been wanting to buy a polymer frame 9mm for some time, was also considering an XD40 or a SW Sigma. But the XD was $130 more, and it's not really a Springarms, it's outsourced and just labeled as a Spring. And I thought the Sigma felt... quite flimsy, almost like a toy (apologies Sigma guys), which I couldn't believe compared to the bank vault my SW .38 snubby was. Plus, neither one of the other guns was NRA 2005 pistol of the year, and neither one of them fit my hand as well as the Taurus (the XD was pretty good though). And 17+1? How you gonna beat that?!

In about 10 minutes I'm headed out to the range to run a couple hundred rounds of WWB through it. I've watched that video on Taurus's website a couple times and I am all fired up to get started!!

Thx, flyer, but I did that last nite, couldn't keep my hands off it! There was surprisingly little grease in the Taurus, I expected a gun shipped from Brazil would be packed with cosmoline. I was almost disappointed, I love making a dirty gun shine!

Went through 50 Magtech FMJ's (salesman threw them in for free with the Taurus), 150 WWB FMJ's, 50 WWB JHP's. Zero feed/eject problems. Magazine springs are very stiff, not easy to get round number 16 in there, and 17 is a real bear. hopefully they'll loosen up. Love the capacity, It's the highest I've ever used in a pistol, and makes me grin to just shoot and shoot and shoot...

Recoil was a little more than I was expecting, but easily managed. Not hard to control during double-taps, as long as I pull good and strong with my left hand.

It took a few magazines, but once I got used to the sights, I was getting lots of shots within about an 8 inch pattern at 15 yards (some wingers too...). I was also shooting pretty fast, wanted to go through some ammo before I started to freeze.

Love the roomy trigger guard, lots of room for a gloved finger.

I would say the only thing that could use improvement was the trigger, very long take-up in SA. But once it gets back there it's got pretty decent feel. I got used to it, but wasn't too fast with it. I haven't figured out how much the trigger needs to come forwards to reset, I'm probably letting it come forward further than it needs to.
