Looks like a redesign of the poly pt22. I'm going to assume none of the mags are interchangeable lol. Kind of cool looking, but I think I'll stick with my original PT-22.

I tried to download the manual for this from the Taurus website, but they didn't have it. I wanted to see the list of ammo recommendations. I'm curious to know if they are limiting high velocity rounds with this model like they did the poly.

My first thought was that it would be cool with a threaded barrel but then I thought they already have that angle covered with the TX22 so I suppose it doesn't matter if they do or don't offer this one threaded.

Either way, I hope it's not going to be a one brand of ammo gun. I have a ppk 22 that would be more fun if it wasn't so fussy about what it's fed.

One online reviewer said that in the owners manual for this gun there are suggested specific types and brands of .22LR ammo for this gun. I hope this isn't an admission that the thing is jammy. I am going to wait a year before considering buying one and wait for the reviews.
Yep...a .22LR pistol should shoot .22LR ammo, regardless of who makes it.

My KelTec P32 is a better choice, only 10 oz loaded, with 8 rounds of centerfire .32ACP.

At least a Taurus won't burn your house down if you leave it in your garage.
My friend that works at the carwash on the side told me a fella couldn’t get his Cyber Truck to run after going through the car wash 🤣
The trucks first carwash …

The pistol looks nice
I just wonder if its thick in its grip ?
looks thick .. ?

Okay, @JMD669, thanks to you I'm starting to get fidgety wanting one of these.🤣 I've watched several YouTube videos, and this little pistol seems to run well. As I mentioned back in post #5 of this thread, I already have a Ruger LCP II in .22LR, so I absolutely do not need a Taurus.22LR TUC .... Hmm, I wonder if I can talk my baby sister into buying one and keeping it at my house? 🤔😁

no, no, no, think of it the other way... when you loan your sister your LCP you won't have one!

It looks like the PT-22 that I had. The slide broke and Taurus gave me credit towards another handgun. I chose the TX-22 I wanted the olive green one but for some reason they only let me get the black one. I paid the retail price difference for it and they sent it to a pawn shop in my area who did the transfer. I would have gotten the compact one had it been available.

But a Beretta Bobcat 21A. They make the Taurus look like a booger.
I would be wary of using the Beretta since it is hard to rack the slide. One time the slide closed on the web of my hand and had it been the Beretta, it would have sheared off my skin.
I might get one. I still have the PT-22 magazines and if they work in the new pistol, it would be nice even through they have an eight round capacity instead of nine for the new pistol

Im not worried about specific ammo .. being that there is some really really crappy 22LR ammo

Also some very weak butt 22LR ammo

I've long wanted a tip-up barrel 22. However, all I found were either unreliable, or worn out. Never wanted another pocket 22. Years ago, bought an American Arms PX-22, Walther TPH copy, Erma design. Hung on to it while I had to sell off the rest of my early collection. Discovered it liked HV ammo, and shot it to the minuscule sights POI. Still have it, still shoot it every month or so at the local range, Still hits steel at 10-20 yards. I like Taurus 22 SA's, but will wait on this Taurus model.
