Picked up my PT1911 SS 9mm on 3/4/15. First observations while inspecting it a my LGS. Fit was very tight. No rattling of the slide or magazine. Felt comfortable in my hand. Sold a PT809 due to right hand surgery. With the small back strap on the 809 it was uncomfortable to hold and shoot. With the single stack 1911, no such problem. Took it home and gave it a good cleaning, not as much shipping grease as in other Taurus hand guns. Have not disassembled a 1911 since Army days, loooong ago. Found a good video on YouTube and followed along with no problem. Now the good stuff. Took it to the range on 3/7. Put 75 rounds of various ammo through it before the rains came. No issues what so ever. Good accuracy, easy to shoot. So far very satisfied. Time will tell.
