I just purchased a Taurus 1911 9mm, have Springfield 1911's in 45. Is there anything I should be aware of on this 9mm, can anyone tell me if it will take Mil Spec 1911 9mm mags. Thanks for any helpful info.

Not sure about the 9mm, but my .45 PT1911's have worked with every mag I've tried.

Welcome from West Texas! Congrats on the 1911. I have a couple in .45 and they are excellent shooters. I haven't been able to shoot one in .9mm, but would love too. Only tips I have are clean it well before taking it to the range and then enjoy it.

Welcome! I'm not a big 1911 guy, but is there such a thing as a "9mm Mil Spec" magazine? Would that mean that some military issues a 1911 in 9mm? Not my field of expertise....
